Making things
Fast, High and Ultra
You never choose an AI model. You choose a quality, and Thumbstop uses the best model for it. The same three qualities appear wherever something is made: the Ad creative start bar, Photoshoot, the pictures and clips of a Video ad, and every tool in a thread.
The three qualities
- Fast — the cheapest. A good first look for trying ideas. Fine edges and small print can come out softer.
- High — the everyday choice, and the default. Crisp and photographic.
- Ultra — the most polished: richer light and detail.
The price in credits is shown next to each quality. Images are priced per image and video per second, so a longer clip costs more.
What does it cost?
Prices in credits, as the picker shows them:
| Per | Fast | High | Ultra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Picture | 1 credit | 3 credits | 6 credits |
| Second of video | 3 credits/s | 4 credits/s | 26 credits/s |
| Second of an edited video | Not offered | 4 credits/s | 31 credits/s |
- A picture is any image Thumbstop draws: Ad creative, Photoshoot, Change, Variations, Resize, Translate and the scene pictures of a Video ad. Each one is charged on its own, so four pictures cost four times the price. The price is the same in every format.
- Video is the price per second times the length of the clip, shown above with sound. Animate lets you choose the sound on Fast and High: without it a second costs Fast 2 credits/s and High 3 credits/s. Ultra always has sound at the same price. The clips of a Video ad are silent, so they cost the price without sound; its voice and music are made separately.
- Turning the words of an image into editable layers (Grab text) costs 1 credit.
- In a Video ad, each voice-over line costs 1 credit and the music costs 16 credits for every started minute of track. The track runs a few seconds past the ad, so an ad of up to about 50 seconds takes one minute and a 120 second ad three.
What does Compare show?
Beside every quality picker, Compare (or the pictures icon) opens the same ad, photo or clip made at each quality, side by side, with a plain line on what to look for. Picking a column picks that quality.
Which should I use?
Test ideas on Fast, then make the ones that work again on High or Ultra. All three are available on every plan. Editing a video needs High or Ultra. See How do credits work?
