Checking facts
A fact is one thing we know about a brand, product or persona, with its source (the page, the label, a review). Ads and strategies only use checked facts: ones confirmed by the scan or by you.
How do I check a fact?
Open a product, the brand or a persona. Facts sit in tabs, numbered, and a fact that still needs your call is marked in amber with the number waiting on its tab. Open the fact's … menu to:
- Confirm a fact the scan was not sure about (or Mark as right).
- Edit the wording; click the words to fix them in place.
- Mark not true: the line is struck out, stays in place with Undo, and ads never say or imply it.
Everything struck or hidden is collected in the Not used tab, each with Use again. Facts you write yourself are marked From you. A fact with a stored source has View source.
What does confidence mean?
Beside a fact a small mark shows whether it is checked, and what it rests on, such as “read off the label”. Facts the scan was unsure of wait for your Confirm; those are the ones most worth a look.
What about offers?
Offers such as prices and shipping appear under Price & offers. Ads only quote an offer once you confirm it, and an offer with an end date asks whether it is still running.
